About Us
SUSENT project has two main objectives. The first is to address the challenges that climate change poses and the second is to promote entrepreneurship.
Climate change negatively impacts people’s lives. It is important to do something about it, especially using effectively natural resources and the work towards the reduction of carbon emissions. In this context, the chemical cosmetics industry is the sector with the fourth-highest consumption of raw materials, water and the fifth-highest emission of greenhouse gases.
According to Eurostat (2019), in 2019, the employment rate of women was 67% and 78% for men.
What if we could combine two different but related issues to improve young women’s employability and combat climate change? This is the main objective of SUSENT. In order to improve women’s employability and fight climate change, SUSENT will use handmade cosmetic products as a tool.
What are SUSENT’s objectives?
- To create a training package for young women aged 18-30 and youth workers to start a handmade cosmetics business. It will include high-quality blended/hybrid learning materials combining theoretical background with all relevant practical technical, organisational, legal and financial aspects of setting up a business. This package includes how to make handmade cosmetic products and how to sell them.
- to boost the entrepreneurial skills of women and related hard and soft skills required to set up a sustainable business of handmade cosmetics

Training toolkit for trainers
A first phase consists of identifying efficient strategies for the creation of a circular economy linked to business development, especially in the handmade cosmetics sector, which is also geared towards combating climate change.
Afterwards, sustainable learning and training materials are developed to empower young women and youth workers to take smart action and improve their employability.
Webinars and virtual seminars for youth workers
Our keyword is accessibility. All the material developed will be always accessible and open for consultation for everyone.
Through this website and the e-learning platform, SUSENT highlights the value of e-learning.
Virtual seminars and webinars will be implemented to raise awareness of climate change and explore more sustainable entrepreneurial options that empower women. and youth.
Training and mobilities
Different training activities (online and face-to-face) are organized to train young people on how to become entrepreneurs in the field of handmade cosmetics, providing them with hard and soft skills that will enhance their ability to set up a successful business.
The training will strengthen youth workers’ abilities in guiding young people in their entrepreneurial journey, especially related to handmade cosmetics.
International outreach campaign
SUSENT goes international!
We are launching our international campaign to involve and find allies across Europe. Through this campaign, SUSENT will share the benefits and advantages of handmade cosmetics to reduce climate change. But it also spreads the word about individual roles that are capable of generating change. We encourage youth to take action against climate change, as well as we encourage youth workers, NGOs, universities, experts, governments, and stakeholders, to discover new ways of employability and sustainability.
